Rock The Taps: Honey Island Swamp Band Rocks In The Brewtanical Garden
Tue Aug. 1 • 7:00pm
At Cape May Brewery
Join us in the Cape May Brewery Brewtanical Garden for the second show in our roots rock and blues series, Rock The Taps! This concert features The Honey Island Swamp Band.
The Honey Island Swamp Band are a thrilling, eclectic band that defies genre conventions, renders song structures elastic, and wholeheartedly stresses that the song reigns supreme. Since they formed in 2005 in San Francisco after their displacement from New Orleans via Katrina – and subsequently relocated back home – the band has evolved to embody contemporary roots music.
Honey Island Swamp Band is bandleader and multi-instrumentalist Aaron Wilkinson, guitarist and vocalist Lee Yankee, bassist Sam Price, keyboardist Chris Spies, and drummer and vocalist Garland Paul.
Our Brewtanical Garden has its' own entrance/exit and taps outside the main Tasting Room under the trees. Guests are encouraged to park in the gravel lot next to the space, which is behind the Main Tasting Room building (located in the Cape May Airport at1250 Hornet Road, Rio Grande).
Enjoy the spacious outdoor concert setting for Rock the Taps. We recommend you BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair) or grab a spot at the picnic tables, chairs, and umbrellas (first come, first serve). We do not serve food, but you are welcome to bring your own food and snacks. Well behaved dogs welcome.
Doors open at 6:00pm. The show starts at 7:00pm.
This event is rain or shine.
