Cape May is home to the U.S. Coast Guard, and while we honor them year round with our Hazy Pale Ale Always Ready, we wanted to do something as a salute to the 75th year of recruit training onboard at the US Coast Guard Training Center in Cape May.

On Friday, August 4th, we will be releasing a brand new beer (exclusively in the Tasting Room) called Brilliant at the Basics to celebrate their exciting anniversary and National Coast Guard Day. Experience the brilliance of simplicity with a beer that captures the artistry of mastering the fundamentals. Crafted with malted wheat and fermented at colder temperatures, this brew has a crisp and balanced profile with just a touch of bitterness. Easy-drinking and endlessly refreshing, Brilliant at the Basics is the perfect choice for celebrating this milestone and enjoying the finest flavors of a meticulously crafted Kölsch-style ale.

In the spirit of Being a Good Neighbor and giving back to the community, we will be hosting a pint night to support the Cape May County Coast Guard Community Foundation. From 4-9pm, $1 from each pint and flight sold in the Tasting Room will be donated to their foundation, which nurtures the relationship between Coast Guard members and their families and the people of Cape May County by developing programs, supporting local organizations, and facilitating active engagement between the Coast Guard and Cape May County.
