ICYMI: Four for More Brews
In case you missed it, we recently reached an exciting milestone at Cape May Brewing Company! We have installed four new 300-barrel tanks (three fermenters and one brite tank) significantly expanding our production capabilities. This expansion is another major step forward in our continued growth and commitment to locally brewing for our fans!
Our team is stoked to brew more of our fan favorites: Cape May IPA, Coastal Evacuation, and our seasonal Lagers like Tan Limes and Oktoberfest. These beers have become staples for our fans, and adding this capacity ensures we can keep them flowing while maintaining the quality and consistency expected from us.
This addition to our Production facility increases our fermentation space, giving us the ability to hold more beer at one time and improve our efficiencies. It frees up our smaller tanks, creating new opportunities for innovation.
“For our team, none of us worked with tanks of this size before, so watching them arrive and then installed was unforgettable,” shares Brewing Manager, Chris Vaughn. As they were carefully lifted by crane, they rose slowly into the sky like “giant hot air balloons” drifting above the building. “Seeing these massive stainless-steel vessels suspended in the air was both nerve-wracking and thrilling,” Vaughn adds. “The experienced installation crew handled the process with precision and confidence, making something so complex look so effortless.”
Standing there and watching it all come together, truly felt like a milestone moment — a visible symbol of how far we’ve come and where we’re headed next. These tanks aren’t just pieces of equipment; they represent growth, opportunity, and the next chapter for Cape May Brewing Company. And we couldn’t be more excited to put them to work.
