Unearthing Ghost Tracks

Cape May’s Higbee Beach holds more than just the beauty of the shore; it hides secrets beneath its sands...

After powerful coastal storms, locals and visitors occasionally stumble upon a rare sight: the legendary Cape May Ghost Tracks. These century-old tracks are remnants of a forgotten railroad, buried under years of sand, that take us back to the years of railroads throughout the southernmost tip of New Jersey. These tracks have now become a fleeting treasure, only exposed when Mother Nature decides to reveal them.

Flash forward to today when our team brings you our newest Double IPA, Ghost Tracks – a limited 16oz beer that brings the history of these hidden tracks into every sip. Just as a storm can unearth the Ghost Tracks from beneath the sand, a pour of Ghost Tracks reveals a hazy, juicy brew that pays homage to our coastal heritage.

Brewed with barley and Maris Otter malt, Ghost Tracks offers a crisp, clean malt profile with subtle hints of biscuit. The real magic, though, lies in the hops. Brewed and dry-hopped with Sabro and Nectaron hops, this beer presents flavors of sweet, ripe peach, stone fruit, and zesty citrus. It’s balanced yet bold, mysterious yet inviting—a beer you’ll want to revisit, just like the tracks that appear and disappear with each storm.

So whether you’re a history enthusiast, a beer lover, or just curious about the legends of the coast, pick up a 4-pack of Ghost Tracks to try a taste of the Cape as we appreciate the Cape's unique history.

Ghost Tracks will be available on draft and in 4-packs to-go in the Tasting Room starting this Friday, September 13th when we open at 12pm. Distribution to retailers will follow in the next few weeks, so be sure to check our Beer Finder to find a Cape May retailer near you.

Don’t miss your chance to experience this limited brew—before it slips away once again, like the Ghost Tracks themselves.
