Good news: Trivia League is back on Thursday, January 25th in the Tasting Room! Join us every Thursday from January 25th through April 18th from 6-8pm and compete to be the CMBC Trivia League Champions.
[Ed note: Not interested in joining the league? You can still stop in to Thursday Night Trivia any week!]
Read below for more information about the league, then gather your team and join us on the 25th for the kick off of Trivia League.
The league will be capped at 15 teams, and no more than 6 players per team. See a Brew Crew member to sign up between now and January 25th!
Each week, the winning team will be rewarded a $30 CMBC gift card, and there will be surprise prizes given to teams with the highest score for select rounds throughout the 12 weeks.
Scores will be tracked and updated each week. The team with the most total points at the end of the league will be the winner and will receive a unique, custom CMBC prize!
Each team may have a maximum of 6 players. Any teams with more than 6 players will be penalized 10 points per each additional player over the 6 player limit.
Cheating will not be tolerated. There is no outside help (internet, phone, note cards, etc.) of any kind allowed. If you are caught cheating, your team will be disqualified for the week. A second offense will result in your team being removed from the league.
Each game consists of 7 rounds of 10 questions – each round is worth 20 points unless otherwise noted. After each round, teams will turn in their answer sheets to be scored.
Final Trivia answers will be on a “Right” or “Wrong” basis. Partial points will not be awarded for partially correct answers.
Each team will be able to pick one BONUS category (excluding the Final Trivia round) for which they will be awarded double points. Teams who do not select a bonus category will not receive any bonus points.
In the event of a tie, a tie-breaker question will decide the winner. Tie breaker questions will have numerical answers, whoever is closest to the number without going over will be the winner. In the unlikely event that the ties teams each answer the question correctly (or closest), the winner shall be the team which hands the correct answer to the Quizmaster the quickest.
The winning team (defined as 2 or more members on the same team, or 1 member if the winner was an individual) from the previous week shall be assessed a handicap equal to ½ of their winning margin (rounded down).
The Quizmaster has final say on all rule interpretations and disputes.
Hope to see you at Thursday Night Trivia. Cheers!
