At Cape May Brewing Company, we like to celebrate the changing of the seasons with great beer, fantastic company, and a whole lot of fun. Pick of the Batch has become a beloved tradition for us and our dedicated patrons. Read more below about all the fun we have in store!

The Activities:

One of the highlights of Pick of the Batch is the exciting lineup of activities we've prepared for our guests. Whether you're a competitive spirit or just looking for some laughs, we have something for everyone:

Pie Eating Contest: Dive face-first into a delicious selection of pies and compete to see who can devour them the fastest. It's a sweet and messy challenge that's as fun to watch as it is to participate in.

Keg Rolling Relay Race: Gather your friends and form a team to roll a keg through a field. It's a test of balance, coordination, and teamwork, and it's sure to have you rolling with laughter.

Steinholding Relay Race: Think you have what it takes to hold a heavy stein filled with beer steady? Test your endurance and strength in this relay race with your team!

Steinholding: The Steinholding competition is a fan favorite! People travel from far and wide to participate in it. Our traditional steinholding competition allows you to show off your stein-holding skills and compete for some fantastic prizes.

Of course, no Cape May Brewing Company event would be complete without an outstanding beer lineup. This year, we're proud to feature some of our favorite fall brews:

Pick of the Batch: Our Pick of the Batch pumpkin beer is one you’ll want to pick again and again. Made with real pumpkin, and featuring notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla, Pick of the Batch was crafted to embrace the comfort of fall and all of its seasonal spices. Brewed with you in mind, this brew is perfect for cozy autumn nights spent by the fire with friends and family.

Honey Porter: With a sweet hint of honey, Honey Porter goes down smooth thanks to its balanced, robust, and light-bodied finish. This award-winning brown porter is brewed with Jersey Fresh certified honey and a firm malt presence, making it extremely approachable, no matter the season.

Oktoberfest: Rich and complex, this amber-colored lager is smooth and clean due to a cool fifty-degree fermentation, mellowing as it lagers. Well-balanced with a hint of hops presence, Oktoberfest is focused on the grain bill of Vienna, Munich, Caramunich, Pilsen, and Melanoidin malts.

Devil's Reach: Rich and complex, this amber-colored lager is smooth and clean due to a cool fifty-degree fermentation, mellowing as it lagers. Well-balanced with a hint of hops presence, Oktoberfest is focused on the grain bill of Vienna, Munich, Caramunich, Pilsen, and Melanoidin malts.

Apple Pie Ale: Our newest seasonal creation, Apple Pie Ale, is sure to be a crowd-pleaser. With notes of cinnamon, brown sugar, and fresh apples, it's like a slice of apple pie in a glass.
