It’s FINALLY here – the weekend we’ve all been waiting for! We’ve been through it all; from below freezing temperatures, to torrential downpours, to our clocks getting set back, to not enough snow for a snow day but just enough where it’s inconvenient and you need to break out the ice-scraper.

Now we can say goodbye to cold weather and hello to the best time of the year – summer in Cape May. Where the beach days start at 10 am, no-shower happy hours start at 5 pm and Cape May beers can be cracked at any time because there’s never a wrong time to enjoy the moment.

What better way to kick start the summer than with us at Cape May Brewery?! We caught up with our Tasting Room Manager, Jake Hauser, to talk about everything going on this weekend.

We chatted in the Tasting Room, which felt like the calm before the storm. All of our beers on draft are written colorfully on the chalkboard, the flight cards are ready to be filled out upon arrival, our summer merch is hanging up in the Brewtique, and the tent in our Beer Garden has never looked better. The only thing that’s missing is YOU!

“We have a lot of fun things going on for Memorial Day weekend!” says Jake as he talks into our brand-new tiny microphone.

[Ed note: We couldn’t miss an opportunity to hop on the tiny mic trend, it’s too fun not to.]

“In addition to all the delicious beer we have, we’re coming out with our new Beach Plum IPA and we’re bringing back our slushies for the entire summer. Visitors can enjoy our Hard Iced Tea & Hard Lemonade slushies all weekend long! We’ll also have live music in our Beer Garden, along with axe throwing from Easy Coast Axes available, too.” says Jake.

[Ed note: The team was already starting to fire up the slushie machine mid-interview. We can confirm that they were looking VERY tasty.]

“Since it’s Memorial Day weekend, there’s no chance of Monday ruining your Sunday!” says Jake. “We’ll be having brunch inspired flights on Sunday that consist of Deck Crew’s Coffee, Orange Crushin’ It, Beach Plum IPA, and Sparkling Paloma. You won’t want to miss out this weekend.”

We’ll be operating on holiday hours this weekend. The Tasting room will be open Friday - Monday from 11:00 am to 8:30 pm.
