This week we celebrated International Women’s Day with our CMBC Brew Crew in the Barrel Room! The room was decorated with table-tents throughout the Tasting Room that showcased our team members favorite beers. If you stop by the brewery this week, make sure to check them out! We also had a women-empowered playlist that kept the energy going throughout the entire day!

The day started off with our team coming together to enjoy lunch; it was the ultimate pizza party! Members from the Tasting Room, Brewtique, Marketing, Production and Cape Beverage mingled with one another, laughing and telling stories over pizza and salad. Alicia Grasso, our Director of Marketing, kicked off the event by welcoming everyone and discussing the history of our beers! Lauren Appleman, our Lab Manager, then led us through a sensory training of our new Variety Pack. Our Brew Crew loved learning more about Cape May IPA, Always Ready, Longliner Lager and Cape May White, which were many team members favorite beers!

After the sensory training was a private tasting and food pairing with our new beer, She The People! Freshly made lemon bars and cucumber tea sandwiches with a chive spread were made by one of our Brewers, JP Thomas. The food paired perfectly with the hoppy saison ale and black tea flavors!

We ended the day with the team members from CMBC and Cape Beverage sharing what their favorite CMBC beer is and why. There was a wide range of favorites! From our classic Cape May White, to our different versions of Crushin It’, to Mop Water, everyone had a brew they loved and hearing why they loved them was that much better.

Thank you to everyone who made our 5th annual IWD Event a success! We are so grateful for the hard-working women and non-binary team members in our company. We were more than happy to spend the day celebrating them and their accomplishments!

She The People is now available in the Tasting Room on draft and in 4-packs to go in our Brewtique! A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this beer goes to the Pink Boots Society, an organization that provides scholarships that assist with professional development and education of women and non-binary people in the brewing industry.

Cheers to another year of celebrating incredible women in the beer industry and beyond!
