READ ON FOR INFORMATION ON THE ORIGINAL RELEASE OF RED GUMMY FISH!
As soon as Red Gummy Fish was canned, we knew that this was one to get some perspectives on. It has a gorgeous, bright red color, and it’s based on a very popular treat. We gathered together some Brew Crew members, and left a few goodies for those who were working so that they could give their thoughts at the end of the day.
Check out some perspectives from the Brew Crew on this dangerously easy-drinking beverage. We’re keeping it short and sweet so that you don’t waste any time making plans to come check this one out today and this weekend!
Red Gummy Fish Water Ice is the sixth variant of our On the Way to Cape May series. So far, we’ve had No. 1: Ice Cream Twist, No. 2: Watermelon Salt Water Taffy, No. 3: Root Beer Float, No. 4: Boardwalk Lemonade, and No. 5: Cape May Salts.
This release marks our venture into the second half of this series, and if you haven’t had a chance to come down and check out the others so far, now is an excellent time to jump in.
So what did our brew crew have to say about this one?
“It’s not cloyingly sweet,” says Events Team member Danielle Tesauro. “It’s sweet, but not so much that it would be a dessert beer. It’s really easy to drink.”
She takes another sip. “That’s stupid easy to drink.”
“Eagles players who love the water ice version would probably like this,” Danielle says with a smile. “It does taste like the melted version of that.”
“It’s one to put on ice,” says Brewtique Associate Barb Bur. “This one is smooth.”
“Usually when you see stuff that advertises that it’s based off of candy, you expect it to be too thick or too sweet. This isn’t any of those; it’s way more drinkable,” Danielle says.
“It would be a good beer for the drive-in,” she continues. “Get popcorn and one of those and you’re good to go.”
“I love it,” says Brewtique Supervisor Karen Flood. “It’s not too sweet; it’s just right. I think it’s one of the best of this series.”
People Operations Coordinator Cody Danks agrees.
“It’s good, I like it,” Cody says. “It’s a nice change from some of the others we have out right now. It’s a good variety to add to the portfolio.”
“Mmm, nice,” says Mike Buckley, future Mr. ODB. “Fruity and refreshing.”
Marketing Associate Casey McBride was able to join in to try some of the last of the samples we had before the release.
“Oh, that’s sweet, but not too sweet,” Casey says. “It’s almost like our Black Cherry Seltzer.”
“All three of us are obsessed,” gushes ODB, otherwise known as Tasting Room Supervisor and Beertender Danielle Brasch. “It’s super refreshing. It tastes like childhood in a glass.”
This brew certainly won’t disappoint fans of the candy or those looking for something completely different from our current lineup.
It’s a smooth, deceptively easy-drinking beverage that brings so many possibilities of how to enjoy it!
Now that you’ve got a few different perspectives on this brew, you can see that there are some common themes here, but ultimately it’s one that you’ll need to try for yourself!
Make sure that you grab a pack from our Brewtique, make this part of your flight selection, or go all-in on a pint while you visit our Tasting Room. Red Gummy Fish Water Ice is available today exclusively in our Tasting Room.
