The Qualified Captain team has been so great to work with. We debuted our collaboration beer with them, Boat Ramp Champ, a 5.5% Helles lager, this past spring, and folks have been over the moon.

We have, too, honestly.

You’ll often see our crew ordering Boat Ramp Champ from the bar, or snagging 4-packs to go after the end of a long shift or a long work week.

And don’t even get our production team started with this one. Brandon Greenwood, Brian Hink, James Fox, Rob Page, and others are big fans, especially for a team that makes so many different beer varieties.

At the end of the day, they love good, clean beer. No frills, nothing fancy, just plain excellent beer.

And that’s exactly what you get with Boat Ramp Champ. It’s something your dad, your aunt, your sibling, your neighbor, your cousin, and anyone else you cheers with can enjoy.

It’s also one that you’ll want to stock up on. Trust us when we say that those 16-ounce cans disappear fast.

We sent cans out throughout New Jersey, and we also have cases available in the Tasting Room for folks to grab. If you’re from outside the state, you might want to make a road trip this month! (Just sayin’).

It’s tough enough to keep the fridge stocked as it is, and it’s the second release of Boat Ramp Champ for the year to get everyone through the rest of summer.

CMBC: What has your first major beer collaboration been like so far?

TQC: It has been such a fun experience!!! Not only is this our first major beer collaboration, this is really our first collaboration with anyone. And what a great group of folks to collaborate and work together with at Cape May Brewing Company. I feel blessed to have had this opportunity.

CMBC: What are some of the coolest things that you've seen or heard that have come from this?

TQC: I love seeing people on social media enjoying the beer safely out in all of our favorite places. Seeing it enjoyed on the water, at the dock, by the grill, on an island, and with family and friends is what it's all about!

CMBC: We know CMBC fans love this beer. What has the reaction been like from The Qualified Captain fans?

TQC: They all love it! The artwork on the can has been a huge hit. I've had a lot of people tell me that the refreshing, crisp beer is so easy to enjoy on the hot days of summer. For the fans that have not had access to the beer, they are dying to try it. I've seen a lot of my fans pair it with certain dishes, too, which have been super fun to try. I've been trying a bunch of them, and I wanna create a small video or recipe page on what Boat Ramp Champ pairs well with. Stay tuned...
