2026 US Beer Open: Gold

Cape May Brewing Company is raising a glass to celebrate some exciting news—our new Fruited Wheat, Sunny Stand, has earned national recognition in the 2026 US Open Beer Championship! Not only did it place, it won Gold in its category.

The award marks the culmination of months of development and refinement. As Head Brewer, Brad Young, explains: 

"This beer started as an R&D project during our offseason, and we spent a lot of time dialing it in before we felt it was ready for our 2026 lineup. To see that work recognized with a Gold Medal at the U.S. Open Beer Championship is incredibly rewarding. We're proud of what we created, and even more excited to share it with everyone."

Fruited Wheat Ale • Gold

Sunny Stand Passionfruit Wheat Ale is inspired by seasonal farm stands and the drive down to the shore when the days start to stretch longer. That zesty tang carries through the flavor, smoothed out by a clean, balanced wheat base with a subtle touch of Galaxy hops to complement the tropical fruit.
