Warehouse Associate (Temporary)

We're hiring temporary Warehouse Associates at CMBC!

In 2011, Cape May Brewing Co. helped put New Jersey on the map for craft beer and has offered refreshing brews as one of the largest and most acclaimed craft breweries in the region ever since. From our humble beginnings hand-delivering the first keg of Cape May IPA to a local beach bar to the hundreds of accounts offering cans and drafts of our brews throughout New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania, Cape May Brewing Co. is where the brews are.   

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the efficient operation of our warehouse while infusing elevated customer service in every interaction. If you’re energized by organizing things or moving things around, you’ll really love this role.  We have opportunity in both our Cape May, NJ location as well as our location in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in maintaining efficient warehouse organization, including order picking, assembly, cold storage management, and receiving and storing raw materials.
  • Prepare orders accurately and efficiently by processing requests, pulling materials, packaging, and organizing shipments. 
  • Adhere to operational procedures for warehouse activities, ensuring accurate verification of incoming and outgoing shipments and proper handling of materials. 
  • Conduct site inventory control processes, following internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices. 
  • Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation for all products. 
  • Perform item and material transfers between multiple locations, both physically and through internal systems.
  • Operate sitting and standing forklifts as well as pallet jacks safely and professionally in a warehouse environment. 
  • Delivering top-tier customer service to internal team members as well as external stakeholders who you will regularly interact with.  

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example in upholding the company Core Values and fostering a positive work environment. 
  • Prepare parcels for mailing and coordinate shipping logistics. 
  • Follow maintenance guidelines for equipment, including pre-trip inspections of company equipment. 
  • Assist with administrative tasks, utilizing
  • Microsoft Excel and internal systems. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.  

  • Forklift certification preferred. 

  • Previous warehouse operations experience preferred.  

  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills required.  

  • Physical ability to handle and maneuver 30lb cases and 165lb kegs.  

  • Proficiency in using calculators, computers, and phones.  

  • High level of mental and visual attention required for planning and executing complex work methods and sequence.  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred.
