What You’ll Be Doing:
Lead by example in upholding the Company’s Core Values and promoting a positive and constructive working environment.
Operate all equipment on kegging and canning lines, including but not limited to keg/can fillers, depalletizers, product carton/tray builder, pallet wrapper, labeler, and conveyors.
Start-up and shut-down of utilities and equipment.
Understand the principles of Clean-in-Place (CIP) and Sanitize-in-Place (SIP) and apply those principles to the cleaning of can/keg fillers, pressurized and unpressurized brite tanks, hoses/pipes, and other product process vessels and equipment.
Maintain line efficiency through seamless supply of empty packaging and removal of full packaging.
Closely monitor cooperage quality and remove cooperage in need of repair.
Ensure accurate and legible coding and labeling of all containers.
Perform routine daily maintenance and cleaning of all equipment.
Address all product quality issues immediately and stop the packaging line if issues cannot be corrected promptly.
Maintain accurate and detailed packaging logs and other records.
Participate in regularly scheduled departmental meetings to review issues and propose solutions.
Monitor and adjust the level of carbonation and dissolved oxygen in products in preparation for packaging.
Perform sensory analysis of various products prior to packaging.
Ensure that the work area is clean and organized, which includes but is not limited to regularly scrubbing floors and working at height to clean process vessel exteriors.
Constantly strive for improvement by looking for ways to make things better, safer, faster or by reducing costs.
Operate pallet jacks and forklifts as needed for the movement of packaging materials.
When needed, assist with accepting deliveries and other warehousing operations.
Assist in other areas of the brewery on an as-needed basis.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
- 21 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to squat, crouch, bend, kneel, twist, climb ladders and stairs and complete repetitive movements with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds unassisted and up to 160 pounds with assistance
- Manually manipulating parts, pumps, and hoses
- Ability to push and pull heavy loads
- Access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
- Regularly required to reach with arms and hands
- Required to use handle objects, tools and controls
- Use of heavy machinery, including hand pallet jacks and forklift operation
- Working individually and as a team
- Working under time pressure
- Encountering frequent interruptions
- Using effective verbal communication
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends as required.
- Comfortable working in hot and cold temperatures or on uneven and occasionally wet surfaces
- Comfortable handling hazardous chemicals with personal protection equipment
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with loud machinery
