
Marketing Associate (Temporary)
We're hiring a temporary Marketing Associate at CMBC!
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Associate to join our team! This role is perfect for someone with a passion for craft beer, digital marketing, and customer engagement. You’ll help maintain our website, manage email newsletters, assist with graphic design needs, support customer service efforts, coordinate marketing materials, and contribute to internal communications and sales collaboration. This position is a temporary, non-exempt full-time.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing & Website Management
- Update and maintain the brewery’s website, ensuring accurate product listings, event postings, and brand consistency.
- Update and maintain company’s external digital platforms including Google My Business, Untappd, Yelp, TripAdvisor, etc.
- Monitor website performance and troubleshoot any technical issues with our IT and development teams.
Email Marketing & Newsletters
- Design, write, and schedule email newsletters to engage customers and promote events, new releases, and special promotions.
- Maintain and grow the email subscriber list while ensuring compliance with email marketing best practices.
- Work with HR, Management, and Leadership to plan and craft internal announcements and other internal communications.
Social Media & Content Support
- Assist in gathering and organizing content for social media posts, ensuring alignment with the brewery’s brand voice and marketing strategy.
- Work closely with the marketing team to assemble photos, captions, and engagement needs/ideas as directed.
Graphic Design & Content Creation
- Assist in creating digital and print marketing materials, including social media graphics, flyers, and promotional assets.
- Draft creative briefs for agency partners or in-house graphics for marketing requests, merchandise, point-of-sale materials, and on/off-premise promotions as needed.
- Help assemble photo and video content for marketing use.
Event & Sales Support
- Deploy marketing collateral and branded materials for events, tastings, and account activations upon request.
- Organize and manage the database for all marketing assets.
- Collaborate with wholesalers, brand managers, and sales teams as needed to ensure marketing efforts align with distribution strategies and promotional campaigns.
Customer Service & Community Engagement
- Respond to customer inquiries via email, social media, and online reviews, providing timely and friendly support.
- Assist with event planning and coordination for both on- and off-site promotions
- Engage with online communities to enhance brand awareness and customer loyalty.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the marketing team and overall brewery operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Basic knowledge of website management (CRAFT, Shopify, or similar platforms).
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Square, etc.).
- Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite is a plus).
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and external partners.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Passion for craft beer and the brewing industry is a big plus!
