Logistics & Compliance Coordinator

Cape May. NJ

We are looking for an A-Player to join our high-performing distribution team! The Logistics Coordinator will fully own warehouse operations and will be responsible for managing the current inventory as well as incoming shipments and scheduling drivers.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

General:

  • The Logistics Coordinator will lead by example in upholding the Company’s Core Values and promoting a positive and constructive work environment for all members of the Brew Crew and external vendors.
  • Compliance with all local, state and federal requirements to operate vehicles, ensure drivers are licensed and complete drug/alcohol testing; insurance operations, and compliance with all Alcohol and Tobacco, Tax and Trade Bureau Standards.

Warehouse/Receiving:

  • You will ensure proper organization of both warehouse spaces, including picking and building orders, organizing the cold box to accommodate packaging operations, receiving, and storing raw materials, etc.
  • You will prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders, pulling materials, packing boxes, and placing orders in the appropriate delivery area.
  • You will work to establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse-related activities. You’ll provide the team with the SOPs and host training sessions with the AM and PM teams to ensure understanding and adherence to the established SOPs.
  • You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with our sales team to ensure all wholesaler orders are placed in a timely manner and assist with coordinating the delivery of hot shots as needed.
  • You will ensure accurate rotation of all products inventoried at CMBC warehouse. This includes performing item and material transfers from multiple locations or facilities.
  • You’ll receive and warehouse incoming shipments, including shipments that come after our normal receiving hours.
  • You’ll be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and hazard free work environment as well as being an active participant in our monthly Safety Committee meetings.

Scheduling/Routing:

  • You will effectively route vehicles to minimize mileage while considering proper receiving windows for accounts and other customers.
  • You’ll coordinate and route sales orders submitted after the cutoff to minimize volume of Hot Shots on the Sales Team, when or where applicable.

Inventory Control:

  • You’ll facilitate internal inventory transfers between warehouses and between Cape May Brewing Company and Yards & FX Matt Contract partners and any additional contracts.
  • You’ll also be expected to update customer and account information in internal systems such as Encompass, VIP, KARMA, etc.
  • You’ll collaborate with the PM Warehouse Team to check and audit all returns from Distribution Specialists such as returned, refused, or damaged products, and inventory them accordingly.
  • Coordinate with wholesalers for the return of Keg logistics, Keg empties, and other keg vendors as needed

Qualifications:

  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • You have 2-3 years of distribution, operations, or logistics experience.
  • You thrive on organization and enjoy rotating stock, inventory management, and moving products internally.
  • You have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • We strongly believe in having a self-sufficient team, so you need to be reliable, dependable, and have strong communication and time management skills.
  • You might even have a forklift certification or experience operating a forklift.
  • You can lift items weighing anywhere from 5 pounds to 165 pounds.You are able to frequently lift, walk, or stand for extended periods of time.
  • You are able to operate a computer, desk phone, and cell phone.
  • You can load, steer, and unload a hand truck.
  • You can work in hot and cold temperatures and on uneven or wet surfaces.
