Brewer III

In-Person in our Cape May, NJ Production Facility

As Brewer III you will be responsible for executing the day-to-day brewing schedule in a safe, quality minded, timely and efficient manner. This is a cross-functional role that requires a high degree of experience with automated wort production, cellar operations, yeast management, inventory management and data entry.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate our new state-of-the art, fully automated, 5 vessel 30 Bbl. brewhouse.
  • Preform daily cellar tasks such as tank CIP, dry hopping, yeast harvests and pitching.
  • Beer clarification (GEA centrifuge and lenticular filter) and carbonation.
  • Collecting and entering production related data into Ekos
  • Promptly report instances of out of specification product and process to your manager
  • Perform routine maintenance on small equipment (valve seat replacement, pump mechanical seal replacement, etc.)
  • Promptly report equipment issues and failures to your manager.
  • Assist in month end inventory counts and reconciliation.
  • Cleaning, cleaning, and more cleaning.
  • Mentor and train Brewer levels I & II
  • Make recommendations to improve safety, streamline operations, improve efficiency, and improve team dynamics and morale.
  • Assist in other areas of the brewery (packaging line, kegging, etc.) if required.

  • Strictly adhere to all Company, Local, State and Federal policies, protocols, and standards.


Experience & Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A passion for Craft Beer
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience at a similar level in a brewery that has an annual capacity of 10,000 Bls or more.
  • Previous experience with operating a fully automated brewhouse preferred.
  • A brewing certification from a recognized institution (ABG, Siebel, etc.) preferred.
  • Excellent critical thinking and time management skills.
  • Ability to take instruction and perform with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptable to changing situations and works well under pressure.
  • Bias for action.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience with MRP platform (OBeer, Ekos etc.) preferred.


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Comfortable in working in hot, humid environments.
  • Able to routinely lift 55lbs.
  • Able to bend and maneuver in tight or confined spaces.
